Day 1 of Gut Healing
May 21, 2024Well fam, today is day 1 of actually doing the damn thing. For the next 30 days I will have no:
caffeine, stimulants, sugar, night shade veggies, nuts/seeds, rice, and basically just eating organic meat, fruit, and veggies (minus the night shade). Starches come from sweet potato and squash.
I've been off ambien for 2 weeks except .5m of xanax when I can't sleep.
I've also started the recommended supplement protocol, plus taking what I was already taking. before. Currently on:
Glutathione, Resveratrol, Curcumin, Candida Support, heavy duty probiotic (was $99 for 15 days!), a gut microbiome supplement, L-glutamine, enzymes, omegas, magnesium, adaptogens, and 200mg of progesterone, greens powder, collagen, plus 10m of carbimazole (which is an anti thyroid medication).
I started sleeping relatively well since I got to my Dad's house a week ago. But this mimics a normal sleep cycle I've had over the last several years. I don't sleep more than 2-4hours a night for months, then all the sudden I start sleeping again. So we shall see what happens.
I will probably dial back on weight training for a few weeks and plan to focus on doing jiujitsu and hot yoga. I will keep you all posted as I go through this journey to see what improves!
